Our primary company is Scents Of Inspiration. Here, we make Soy candles and Gel candles in our home and sell them.
We are a small Christian company whose
desire is to bring pleasure to the senses while inspiring and reaching out with
the Love of God. Our candles are hand-poured and highly scented. We want to
make sure you can really enjoy each scent. We test each Scent with our waxes to ensure stability
and pleasant ambiance. Due to the handmade nature of these products,
color consistency and designs may slightly vary.
We
use Soy wax instead of Paraffin wax. Soy Candles are sometimes
referred to as "Natural" Candles or "Organic" Candles.
Paraffin wax is derived from petroleum, which is a non-renewable resource
mostly dependent on the Middle East.
Soy wax is derived from the Soy Bean, which is a renewable resource that
supports the American Farming Economy. Soy wax burns cooler, 20% longer, more
evenly, and cleaner compared to Paraffin wax. Paraffin emits more soot and
toxins as it burns. Soy wax is softer than Paraffin and, unlike Paraffin, is
water-soluble. If you accidentally spill Paraffin, consider your carpet and
furniture ruined! With Soy wax, all you need is warm soapy water, and
Voila!...like it never happened! Another plus with Soy wax is the fragrance
distribution. Not only does it have a better cold scent throw (the ability to
smell it when it’s not burning), but the fragrances last through the ENTIRE
candle. With Paraffin, the fragrance oils have a
difficult time blending (imagine pouring vegetable oil into water…no matter how
you stir it, they are still separated), and manufacturers actually have to add
more chemicals to aid in the blending process. Soy wax, made from the oil of
the soy bean, blends with the fragrance oils more successfully because the wax
is from a natural oil to begin with. With Soy wax, the fragrance stays
throughout the candle more evenly during cooling creating a candle that is good
till the end. Its true Paraffin is less expensive, but Soy is the superior
and much healthier quality, and quality is more important to us than
quantity.
